It's nice to have this site to learn the history of semarang, I was from East Java actually, but I studied in Salatiga for 5-6 years, and during that time I visited Semarang and sometimes have anight out in my friend's house....A nice city with a lot of different culinary variety...

Hi all, This is such a wonderful website. I was so glad when I found it. My Google search for archival footages of Indonesia in the 1940s led me to this site. I'm a senior in college living in New York City. I major in non-ficton digital video and I'm currently working on an 8-10 minutes long documentary for my final project. The documentary is about an 81-year-old lady named Sri Temoe Soegioto. She joined Laskar Putri in 1945 when she was just 16 years old. The documentary will focus a lot on her Laskar Putri days. Therefore, I need a good amount of historical photos and footage of Indonesia between 1945- 1949. It would be so wonderful if anybody can give me other archival sources from which I can legally get permission to use the footage and/or photos in my project. Thank you lots beforehand.
